Welcome! This page lists many of the questions patrons ask us frequently, and provides links to more information. If you have a question that isn't addressed below, please contact us!


Is the library open?

Yes. As of Fall 2022, the libraries are open to Diné College students, faculty, and staff, as well as the general community. Students and college affiliates teaching or attending in-person classes must bring their student ID with orange C19 sticker. Non-students and 100% online students visiting must get screened and present their day pass. 

What are the library hours?

Tsaile library will be staffed Monday-Thursday, 8 am to 7 pm, and Friday 8 am to 4 pm; Shiprock library will be staffed Monday-Thursday 8 am to 9 pm, and Friday 8 am to 5 pm; Crownpoint library will be staffed Monday-Friday from 8 am to 5pm. 

How do I get a library card?

Your student ID card serves as your library card. Keep in mind, your student ID will be required for entrance and screening to all campuses. To get your student ID card made, contact Student Activities

How does printing/copying work?

Library patrons can print from library computers or send prints to the Tsaile or Shiprock libraries using Mobile Printing Service. Printing is $0.05 per page for Black & White and $0.50 for Color (where available). 

Photocopying, where available, costs $0.10 per page. Please ask a library staff member for assistance.

How do I checkout/request books?

Use the library catalog to look for books. When you have found your books and are ready to check out, bring them to the help desk. A staff member will check the books out to your using your student ID card.  
You can also request books online through your library account. Please view the video tutorial on how to do this.

How many books can I check out and for how long?

Students can check out up to 18 books for 3 weeks, and can be renewed for another 3 weeks if needed. 

How do I renew the loan on my books?

You can request renewals for your books through your library account. Please view the video tutorial on how to access your library account and its features. 

When will my books arrive?

Inter-campus deliveries occur on Tuesdays and Thursdays. While the library attempts to process and send out all requests before these days, your delivery time may vary. Requests made on the same day as delivery day, after-hours, or weekends may miss the couriers and will be sent out on the next delivery day.

What is an "Off-Campus Login"? How do I access the databases?

Use your Warrior ID (the same one used to log in to Blackboard) to access the subscription databases from off-campus. 
Make sure to access databases using links provided by the library. For example, when accessing JSTOR, use "" NOT ""
